Give Me 5 For Kids 2009 is raising money for the Children’s Ward at the Wagga Wagga Base Hospital to buy a bladder scanner worth about $5000 and several child friendly intravenous poles worth about $200 each. There will be several fundraising events to assist in raising this money.

The 2009 Tin Drive:

Businesses across Wagga will have collection tins in store for you to drop your loose change in. If we all do a little, the Kids Ward can do a lot. If everyone in Wagga gives 10c we have raised enough to buy the bladder scanner and 5 poles. Every time you wonder “What can I do?” know that the answer is “Something”

The Riverina Trivia Championships:

2WG will host the Riverina Trivia Championships in the Nathan Room at the Commercial Club on Friday the 12th June. With some amazing prizes to be won and the chance for a year’s worth of bragging rights, come along and have a great night. Bookings are essential and can be made on 6921 1022. Tickets are $10 each with tables of 8 on the night. Stay listening to 2WG to find out about the prizes on offer.

The Give Me 5 For Kids Bush Dance:

Get ready to dosie-do and change partners at Apex Park Hall, Lake Albert. The Tin Shed Rattlers will be fiddling the tunes throughout the night and at just $5 entry, or $20 for a family, it is a great night out for the whole family. There will be some nibbles available on the night, with the Snaggin’ Wagon cooking up a storm and soft drink available as well.
