Give Me Five For Kids!

Last year, Dubbo & the Central West helped Star FM to raise a huge $23,000 for the Dubbo Base Hospital’s Children’s Ward. This year, with your help once again, we aim to raise more than triple that!
This year, combined with the funds raised through Give me 5 For Kid’s last year, the Dubbo Base Hospital plan to purchase a new Paedeatric Ventilation Unit for children entering hospital through the emergency department.
This vital piece of equipment will help save many children lives.

WHAT’S ON THE GM54K CALENDAR??
The Dubbo Media Centre has some fun events happening throughout the month of June. Come along to any or all of these and have some fun with us while supporting the kids at Dubbo Base Hospital.

Local Events

1st June 2010 - Give me 5 For Kids Launch at the Dubbo Base Hospital
On the 1st of June each year we hold an Outside Broadcast from the Dubbo Base Hospital to kick off Give me 5 For Kids. It will be held in breakfast between 6am – 10am with Star FM’s breakfast team Nick and Josh.

4th June 2010 - Charity Golf Day at the Dubbo Golf Club
We are getting local businesses to register their own teams of 3 for our charity golf day held out at the Dubbo Golf Club. There will be plenty of food, drinks and auctions on the day


12th June 2010 – Robertsons Motorcycles Outside Broadcast and Bike Show
A bike show, Skydiving and an Eagle Boys Pizza Eating Competition all in the one location! What more could you ask for??!!



16th June 2010 – State of Origin night @ The Pastoral Hotel
State of Origin night is always huge in Dubbo! We will be at the Pastoral Hotel to celebrate it! We will be walking around The Pastoral Hotel with tins asking for donations and we also have a 2009 Kangaroos Jersey to be raffled off on the night.

19th June 2010 – Orana Mall Outside Broadcast
We will be live on location at the Orana Mall Shopping Centre! During this time we will be doing a wheelie bin walk around asking people in the Orana Mall for their donations. We will also be giving away Give me 5 For Kids Merchandise including Balloons, wristbands, tattoos and more.

24th and 25th June 2010 – Out of school uniform day for schools in Dubbo, Gilgandra, Narromine and Wellington
Most of the schools around Dubbo and the Central West will come together to hold an out of uniform day all together. A gold coin donation is asked for coming out of uniform and the money will be collected on the 28th and 29th June
