95 3SR FM's Give Me 5 For Kids is back for 2010!!

For the month of June 95 3SR FM runs our annual major fundraising event... Give Me 5 For Kids! It's our way of raising vital funding for the Paediatric Unit at Goulburn Valley Health who provide important medical and nursing care to children and adolescents in the Goulburn Valley region extending into southern NSW. They look after all children who need surgical, medical, dental, or oncology help and children with complex needs who require specialist care. Goulburn Valley Health provide care for approx 15 000 children per year with approx 2500 admissions to the Paediatric Unit.

 

This year, 95 3SR FM is aiming to raise $50,000 to buy the Children's Ward a Neonatal Ventilator - this machine helps give pre-mature babies a better start in life by helping them to breathe until they are strong enough to do it for themselves.

They are used on a daily basis and are one of the most important pieces of equipment because they can be used on newborns and infant children.
